Hi!

I’m Zoe.  I’ve been a massage therapist since 2009, a Mum since 2010, and an essential oil obsessive since the late nineties.

In my practice I use relaxation massage and essential oils to assist clients to improve and maintain their own physical, mental and emotional health.  I love how the two fit together and the gentle synergy that they bring to a treatment session.  I also love being able to customise take home products for my clients, so that those feelings of relaxation can come flooding back to them when they smell the product again.

I’m very passionate about essential oil safety. Good quality essential oils may be natural and pure, but there are still risks with using them. They’re concentrated and powerful and some people can have strong reactions to them, both emotional and physical.  When I customise essential oil products for clients in a consult, I take into account their scent preferences, their physical health, any medications they’re taking, their emotional state etc. to minimise risks.

This year I’ve also started to offer ‘perfume parties’ and combine seated massage with making an oil based perfume for attendees to keep.  These are designed to be fun and informative, with a little bit of relaxation thrown in for good measure.  At these events, the essential oils are heavily diluted, but I do go through basic safety information too.

I’m currently studying a Diploma of Remedial Therapy, and have also started to learn about Aromatic Kinesiology, which uses muscle testing to choose the best essential oils for people. I may well end up studying forever. Just as I am finishing up with one course, another presents itself! (keeps eyes peeled for an aromatherapy diploma!)
