Hey there!
I’ve been putting off this blog for a while now, trying to craft something worthy and substantial, but I never quite finish it. Today I decided that while that longer blog is still getting written, I could still write a short one and that would be better than nothing! (This morning I started listening to Gary Vaynerchuck, he made me do it)
I wanted to share one of my custom made perfume blends with you. It’s called Yoga Nidra blend, and I created it in February last year for my friend Emma, who runs Quiet Space Yoga. She loved it so much that she started telling her friends and students about it, and pretty soon I was making them in small batches every few weeks, instead of one at a time.
It’s hard to describe scent accurately in a blog, so I guess you’ll have to find Emma’s Yoga Nidra class or purchase a bottle from me to really know what it smells like 🙂 but I think it’s fresh, leafy green with a hint of sweetness. I designed it to encourage deeper breathing, to calm the nerves and to minimise the mental chatter (you know, all the stuff that you think of while you’re supposed to be meditating!), and help you just BE.
It contains Frankincense, Bergamot, Lavender, Elemi and Petitgrain essential oils but is diluted so it’s ready to wear, straight from the bottle. And never fear, if you have never smelt some of these oils, you can always host a perfume blending workshop where I bring the oils so you can smell them first hand (or is that first nose?). Just pm me and we can make a booking.
If you’re interested in getting your hands on a bottle of this Yoga Nidra blend, head to either the Indigo Sea Massage Therapy shop or my Facebook shop to purchase.
I’ll be putting some more perfume blends into the shop this week (because my favourite thing right now is blending), and I’m excited to announce that ……. I’ll also be running some little DIY aromatherapy workshops with my friend Louise from Radiant Moon Wellbeing Therapies !
If you’re interested in learning how to make your own natural lip balms, bath, cleaning, skin & hair care products or would just like to know more about essential oil blending so you can make your own mood lifting diffuser blends then like our Facebook pages to get notified of future events.
Take care,
